SPEED UP YOUR COMPUTER

To increase your computer speed Disk Clean-up is a good step. For this you need to go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Clean-up. Then “Disk Clean-up” will appear. Click OK. You can also increase your computer speed by uninstalling programs that you are not using. Go to CCleaner (Download it fromwww.filehippo.com )> Tools > Uninstall. Select the one you are not using. Then go to Start > Run > Type Regedit > Edit > Find. Type the name of the uninstalled program in the box and click “Enter” which will find you some of the element. Press delete. Do the same for the rest by clicking F3. This will increase your hard drive space.
TAKE CONTROL
If you don’t want others to use your application & software, then you can take the help of Applocker. It is a new feature of Windows 7 which will ensure that only you and your recommended users can use your apps and software. This is easy to set up. For this Choose Microsoft say and create a rule for allowing everything signed by a certain publisher. After launching GPEDIT.MSC, go to Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Application Control Policies > Applocker. This is how you can get the control.
BURN IMAGE
If you want to burn ISO images to CDs or DVDs then make a double click to the ISO image and select the drive with the blank disk. After that click burn and your job is done.
MOUNT VHD FILES
You can mount VHD files by using the Disk Management applet of the Computer Management Tool. It can be accessed by making a right click on “Computer” in the start menu. Then select “Manage” and you will found “Attach VHD” option in the action menu, which will mount VHD files to a drive letter. This can be done better through Windows explorer.
GET POWER EFFICIENCY REPORT
Do you have a laptop? Then you can use power efficiency report to get information about your power system. That will increase your battery life and performance of your system. For this you have to open a command prompt . You need to type ‘cmd’ in Start Search and make a right click after appearing the ‘cmd’ icon. Then choose Run as administrator and type ‘powercfg-energy’ at the command line. Windows will look for ways to improve power efficiency and show the results in SYSTEM32 (HTML file) folder. Follow the instruction which will help to find the report.
TROUBLESHOOT PROBLEMS
Your computer can behave strangely because of problems with networking, hardware, devices and many more. Troubleshooting in control panel can automatically fix up those common problems of your computer. For this first click Start button > Control Panel > System & Security > Find and Fix Problems. This will simply solve common problems.
SWITCH TO A PROJECTOR
You can switch your display from one monitor to another or a projector by clicking Win+P or through display switch. It won’t cause problem if one display is connected.
UPDATED TRICKS
Sometimes the “Folder Options” in Tools menu is not visible. You can’t access it from Control Panel even from “Registry Editor”. For solving this go to run, type “regedit” and press ENTER which will open Registry Editor, then go to this:  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies\ExplorerHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies\Explorer . Delete the folder named “NO Folder Options” if it appears in the right-side pane.
